Meanwhile, the perceived ('feels like') temperature factors in the impact of wind and humidity on the outdoor temperature, and helps you to choose the right clothes. In addition to the dew point, wind chill and heat index, the weather station also shows you the wind speed using the Beaufort index so that you always know how strong the wind is blowing.
However, it's not just the outdoor conditions that are important. The weather station also features a graphic indoor climate indicator, which uses a smiley to show you whether the indoor temperature and humidity are at an optimal level. If your struggle with mildew or dry air, you can set a maximum and minimum value alarm that informs you when the preset limits have been reached. This alarm can also be set for the other measured values. If you're a keen meteorologist or gardener and want to follow recent trends in weather, the weather station also features a historical bar chart for precipitation and air pressure, as well as a min/max value memory.
Radio-controlled clock with built-in alarm
In addition to extensive meteorological data, the weather station also features a radio-controlled clock that sets the time automatically. After it has been connected to the power supply, the base station automatically searches for the corresponding radio signal. A few minutes later, the time, date and day of the week will appear on the display, together with the current moon phase. (PLEASE SET HOUR OFFSET TO -1 IN THE TIME SETTING MENU IF IN THE UK, IRELAND OR PORTUGAL TO RECEIVE THE CORRECT TIME FOR THESE AREAS).

The new BRESSER Weather Station 5-in-1 combines in a unique way a compact design with an extensive information service. The very
compact and multifunctional outdoor sensor requires only little space and thus can be placed almost anywhere. A pipe clamp and screws for
the attachment at poles (pipe diameter of about 25-33 mm) as well as a stand are already included!
The 5-in-1 outdoor sensor transfers reliably all measured values for wind speed, wind direction, humidity, temperature and
precipitation rate to the base station. On the clearly structured display of the base station not only these values can be read but also a
multitude of history data. The latter allows the internal storage and evaluation of measured data over a period of 24 hours. From the collected
measured data, the weather station calculates a very reliable local weather trend forecast for the next 12 hours, depicted by six graphic symbols
on the display. For minimum and maximum values an individual alarm can be programmed, which gives an acoustic and a light signal when the defined
value is reached. For outside temperatures of -3 °C and below a special alarm for frost/ice warning can additionally be activated.
A poor indoor climate often involves health risks especially for children and the elderly. The BRESSER Weather Station 5-in-1 offers you a smart feature to deal with this. The indoor climate indicator informs steadily about the indoor climate with a symbol.
Furthermore, the BRESSER Weather Station 5-in-1 features a radio controlled time and date setting (DCF time signal). Already a few minutes after switching the device on the current Central European Time (CET) and the date with weekday are displayed automatically. The European limits and WHO recommendations for air quality are regularly exceeded, especially in big cities. Heavy traffic, industry and agriculture significantly increase the concentration of particulate matter. To let you know when the air quality is poor, the particulate meter's wireless sensor takes precise measurements of two types of particulate matter that can be harmful to your health: Particles with a diameter of less than 10 μm (PM10) and less than 2.5 μm (PM2.5). The excellent sensor made by the renowned Swiss manufacturer Sensirion guarantees very precise measurement results. Thus, the particulate meter is also the perfect source of information for people with allergies in order to keep an eye on the pollen count. And you don't need to be an expert in order to determine whether the readings are within a healthy range: The air quality index shows you in 6 colour-coded levels whether the air is clean.
Historical air quality data
The damage that air pollution does to our health doesn't happen overnight. The particulate matter meter therefore records a range of historical readings, including the maximum readings from the past hour and 24 hours, and the overall historical maximum, to give you better idea of trends in the air quality. To view the current reading - regardless of the measurement interval settings - simply press the button on the sensor. The device also features a high alarm function: simply configure your desired limit for particulate matter and the alarm will sound when the limit is reached.
If you normally measure the air quality indoors, but want to know whether the air is clean before you spend a sunny day in the garden, you can use the wireless sensor. The wireless sensor can also be used individually and shows you the particulate matter readings on the built-in display. Armed with this sensor, you can measure particulate matter both indoors and outdoors. Also ideal for travelling!
Particulate matter meter with fresh air function
Good air quality is about much more than clean air. A good indoor climate is also essential for our wellbeing. For this reason, the particulate matter meter also features a built-in thermo-hygrometer so that you can monitor your indoor climate in more detail. If you have mould stains in your bathroom or the air in your child's bedroom is too dry when you turn the heating on, you can take preventive measures by referring to the indoor temperature and humidity readings on the base station. What's more, if you put the air quality meter in your bedroom, it can also double up as an alarm. Simply set the time at which you want to get up and enjoy your well-earned sleep until the alarm goes off. The new BRESSER Weather Station 5-in-1 white combines in a unique way a compact design with an extensive information service. The very compact and multifunctional outdoor sensor requires very little space and thus can be placed almost anywhere. A pipe clamp and screws for the attachment at poles (pipe diameter of about 25-33 mm) as well as a stand are included.
The 5-in-1 outdoor sensor reliably transfers all measured values for wind speed, wind direction, humidity, temperature and precipitation rate to the base station. On the clearly structured display of the base station these values can be read but can also be stored as data history. The latter allows the internal storage and evaluation of measured data over a period of 24 hours. From the collected measured data, the weather station calculates a very reliable local weather trend forecast for the next 12 hours, depicted by six graphic symbols on the display.
For minimum and maximum values an individual alarm can be programmed, which gives an acoustic and a light signal when the defined value is reached. For outside temperatures of -3 °C and below a special alarm for frost/ice warning can additionally be activated.
A poor indoor climate often involves health risks especially for children and the elderly. The BRESSER Weather Station 5-in-1 offers you a smart feature to deal with this. The indoor climate indicator informs steadily about the indoor climate with a symbol.
Furthermore the BRESSER Weather Station 5-in-1 features a radio controlled time and date setting (DCF time signal). In a few minutes after switching the device on the current Central European Time (CET) and the date with weekday are displayed automatically. What is the weather doing? The BRESSER MeteoChamp 7-in-1 HD Wi-Fi Weather Station will show you everything that you need to answer this question. The dynamic 17.8 cm (7-inch) HD TFT colour screen displays the measurements from the two included sensors in a range of different display modes. With a simple button press, you can view the weather data that you need: the home screen with the basic data and a reliable weather forecast, the detailed view with more data including maximum and minimum values and trends, or the overview screen with the temperature and air pressure.
And for passionate weather enthusiasts, the Wi-Fi weather station can also display historical data. The data protocol delivers detailed measurements at intervals of 5, 10 or 30 minutes – all of which can be exported via USB for further analysis on your PC. The MeteoChamp Weather Station comes with two feature-packed outdoor sensors: one 7-in-1 sensor and one wireless thermo-hygro sensor.The 7-in-1 wireless sensor reliably measures the outdoor temperature, humidity, wind speed, wind direction, rainfall, UV level and light intensity. And what’s more, this multi-sensor with a large solar panel is powered by solar power. The measuring device needs about 4 hours of direct sunlight (100,000 lux) a day. There isn’t much sun around? Simply insert 3 AA batteries as a back-up during installation and they will take care of the power supply.
The thermo-hygro wireless sensor is responsible for indoors. Because the climate there influences our well-being just as much as it does outside. That's why in addition to the built-in hygro-thermo sensor inside the base station this wireless thermo-hygro sensor measures the indoor temperature and humidity in an additional room. This way you can check in a flash whether the air in the bathroom is dry enough or the temperature in the children's room is pleasant - and give mould as well as excessively dry air no chance.
Perfectly networked – share measurements from your Wi-Fi weather station
In the age of the Internet, we want to be able to access our local weather data remotely and share it with others. The solar weather station comes with a Wi-Fi function that allows you to do just that – on up to 3 weather platforms. Solar-powered weather station

As the sensor is solar-powered, there is no need to replace any batteries. Simply align the large solar panel with the sun for seamless year-round operation. When the sun shines, the built-in rechargeable battery stores the energy to power the sensor. The data will then be displayed on your base station, which has a range of up to 150 metres.

In addition to displaying the measurements from your outdoor sensor, the base station of the 8-day 4CAST XL Wi-Fi Weather Station also has many other functions. Cold weather, hardly any sun – will the solar power continue to function?
Example: If, due to the weather conditions, the solar panel only charges for 4 hours each day and the charging current drops to 5 mA, the battery will charge 20 mAh each day. 5 mA x 4 hrs = 20 mAh
Even though the battery has to power the sensor for the remaining 20 hours, it will still store additional power, as the sensor only consumes a total of 4.458 mAh each day out of the 20 mAh charged. If the battery only charges for 4 hours at 5 mA, this will provide enough power for more than 4 days of use: 20/4.458 = 4.48 days
NOTE: It is not possible to ship the battery fully charged. The battery should have approximately 30-40% of its capacity when installed (i.e. between 600 and 800 mAh). This charge will provide enough power for 118 (600x0.88/4.458) to 158 days (800x0.88/4.458). As a result, a battery replacement will not be necessary for this sensor.
