Product information "Vixen SXD2WL VC200L Telescope Set"
SXD2WL VC200L Cassegrain Telescope Complete Set with GoTo Mount, Tripod, and Eyepieces

This high-quality telescope set impresses with its large 200-mm Cassegrain mirror optics optimized for photography with a flattener. The telescope is manufactured in Japan and scores with its excellent workmanship, sharpness, and contrast performance. The advantage of this telescope also lies in its short, open design and its low weight. Thus, the optics cool down faster than a closed system.

The VISAC primary mirror (= Vixen Sixth-Order Aspheric Cassegrain) is specially designed for astrophotography and delivers a completely flat and color-true image across the entire field of view. Spherical aberration, coma, and field curvature are absolute foreign concepts for this optic. The reason for this is the three-lens field corrector in front of the convex secondary mirror.

Although the telescope is optimized for astrophotography, it can of course also be used for visual observation. A special coating technique (state-of-the-art technology) provides the optimal mirror surface for observing and photographing deep-sky objects. It allows for controlled coating and individually corrects errors on the mirrors. You will be amazed when you observe the moon's surface with its craters or Saturn with its ring system. On Jupiter, on a good night, many smaller details in the cloud bands will be visible, as well as the Great Red Spot on the planet. On moonless nights, you can observe the Andromeda Nebula, Orion Nebula, Eagle Nebula, Lagoon Nebula and many other interesting faint objects. The brighter globular clusters can be easily resolved into individual stars.

This telescope set "Made in Japan" simply leaves no wishes unfulfilled. The large 60-mm eyepiece drawtube allows for the attachment of heavy cameras without tilting. In addition, the supplied flip mirror enables comfortable observation even in unfavorable observing situations and also offers a T2 thread for connecting a DSLR camera. Thus, you can observe in straight view or at a 90° angle. The carrying handle attached to the tube clamps ensures safe transport of the telescope. The sturdy metal tripod allows for a vibration-free setup of the telescope and mount even in windy weather.

The SXD2WL mount is simply operated via a Wifi module with a smartphone or tablet. For user-friendly control of the mount, the free STAR BOOK Wireless app is available. This allows you to use practical functions of celestial navigation such as automatic GoTo swivelling to specific celestial objects very easily via your smartphone or tablet. As the power consumption of the conventional LCD screen (STAR BOOK TEN) is eliminated, the power consumption of the mount is reduced by up to 20%. This enables astronomical observations and astrophotography over longer periods.

By tapping the desired celestial object from a list, it automatically swivels into the telescope's field of view and tracking begins. An existing STAR BOOK TEN control can also be used on this mount without any problems. Equipped with the same precision stepper motors as the flagship model, the AXD mount, the SXD2WL brings a new standard of performance and precision to the Vixen mount family.

The axis cross of the mount has a photographic carrying capacity of 15 kg while weighing only 9.2 kg, making it excellent for mobile observations. Moreover, the motors located in the lower part of the mount also serve as counterweights. This means the mount requires fewer weights for balancing.

Details of the SXD2 Mount

Precision stepper motors and Micro-Step Motion Control System
The heart of the SXD2 are the precision stepper motors, offering better performance and response than previous models. The Micro-Step Motion Control System is noted for its powerful yet very quiet driving characteristics, suitable for both fine movements and rapid swivelling.

Built-in bearings
The bearings of the RA and DEC axes and the worm shafts have been significantly improved to reduce the load on the motors. As a result, the motors move much more quietly than in previous models.

High-precision worm gears
Advanced manufacturing technologies have eliminated errors in worm gears. The edges of both the worms and worm gears are exceptionally smooth, allowing very precise tracking.

Declination axis as counterweight
The massive motor units are built into the lower part of the declination axis, lowering the center of gravity of the SXD2 just below the intersection point of the RA and DEC axes. This reduces the need for additional counterweights.

Latitude adjustment
The latitude is adjustable between 0 and 70 degrees (divided into 3 zones and adjustable +/- 15 degrees per zone, for high, medium, and low latitudes); latitude scale in 2-degree steps; fine adjustment with a tangent screw head, about 0.8 degrees per turn.

Built-in PFL-II Polar Finder with Illumination
The built-in 5x20 mm polar finder with a 10° field of view features a 3-star alignment system. This eliminates the tedious setting of date and time. The illuminated reticle with variable brightness and automatic shutoff is adjustable in 8 steps and illuminated in red. The alignment accuracy is 3 arc minutes.

Details of the Wireless Module

The Vixen Wifi Adapter for EQ mounts enables you to control your Vixen mount via a smartphone or tablet. With the STAR BOOK Wireless smartphone app (free), celestial navigation is simple and wireless. The app instantly transforms your mobile device into a control for the equatorial mount. The reaction delay of the mount, a major disadvantage of wireless connections, has been reduced to a level comparable to wired solutions.

Reduced power consumption compared to traditional controls with an LCD monitor
The power consumption of the mount is reduced by up to 20%, allowing for longer observations than with traditional wired controls like the STAR BOOK TEN.

Operation similar to the STAR BOOK TEN control
The STAR BOOK Wireless App is set up similarly to the STAR BOOK TEN control. Depending on the star chart setting, it contains up to 259,000 celestial objects. Tap a celestial object in the list and start the GoTo. The mount will now automatically move to this target and bring it into the field of view of the telescope. All popular features of the STAR BOOK TEN are retained.

Convenient operation
While looking through the telescope, you operate the mount by swiping on the star chart in the app. Since there are no buttons, you simply glide your finger across the star chart to easily operate the mount.

Extensive astronomical data included
This includes data on easily observable celestial bodies such as Messier objects, NGC objects, IC objects, as well as the sun, moon, planets, comets, and dwarf planets.

High-precision alignment
Alignment on one or two stars already provides a fairly accurate positioning of the mount. Alignment on three or more stars allows for extremely precise alignment of the mount for high magnifications. The objects are then positioned exactly and centrally in the field of view of your telescope. The alignment information is stored and can also be retained when the device is turned off. By leaving the telescope in its current state after an observation, without moving it, you can start the next observation with the same settings.

Individual adjustment options
As with the STAR BOOK TEN control, the app offers various individual settings such as gear play compensation, red night mode, autoguider, variable GoTo speed, and LED brightness. You can also set the time of reversal of the objective tube (Meridian Flip) according to your preference. Even if the object moves south during tracking, you can prevent the telescope tube from reversing.

Important Information
Not usable on old SX mounts with the old blue Star Book

Technical Information about the Wifi Module
CPU with 32-bit CISC processor at 120 MHz
The unit connects to the mount via a D-SUB 9PIN connector, as with the STAR BOOK TEN.
It has a 6-pin, 6-wire modular connector for external autoguider operation.
Supported operating systems are Android 6 or higher, iOS 9.0 or higher, WLAN standard: IEEE 802.11b/g/n

Vixen SG-L02 Headlamp red-light white-light
The perfect LED head torch for nighttime observations! Adjusting your eyes to the dark surroundings is very important when making astronomical observations. In dark areas, it is very difficult to use astronomical equipment without a suitable light. With normal lights, however, the light intensity is more important than protecting your eyes against bright light. Using these lights at night makes your pupils contract, which can make it difficult for your eyes to readjust to the darkness. The SG-L01, our first astronomy LED lamp, featured a built-in red LED that provided a solution to this problem. However, the red light did not offer optimal visibility. On our new astronomy LED light, the SG-L02, the LED lights produce warm light to improve visibility. They also ensure that your eyes stay adapted to the dark. The LEDs do not emit light in the sensitive range of 555 nm. The brightness of the white light can be adjusted between 3 and 42 lumen, while the red light can be adjusted between 0.28 and 7.62 lumen. FEATURES Dimmable red light ensures that your eyes stay adapted to the dark Built-in rechargeable battery, charges via USB Waterproof design LED colour can be switched from red to white 0.28 to 7.62 lumen for red light 3 to 42 lumen for white light Dimensions: 41 mm x 33 mm x 30 mm Weight: 29 g DELIVERY CONTENT SG-L02 head torch Strap (size S) Strap (size L) Pocket clip Cable for charging the battery (USB-A plug to USB Micro-B plug)

BRESSER JUNIOR Refractor Telescope 70/900 EL
Observing the stars like a professional - very easy with the BRESSER JUNIOR refractor telescope 70/700 EL. It is a complete system for the exploration of the wonders of the universe, consisting of telescope, mount, tripod and all accessories needed. With an aperture of 70 mm it reveils already many details of celestial objects. The mount can not only swing the telescope left / right and up / down, it can also be used in a so-called equatorial mode, as scientists do in their observatories (see further under Special features). An additional finder scope mounted on the telescope is useful for locating celestial objects. With the erecting lens many exciting things in the environment can also be seen during daytime. With the height-adjustable tripod, the telescope can each be brought to an optimal height for large or small observers. The supplied diagonal mirror ensures a comfortable viewing. At night the moon and planets may like Saturn and Jupiter can be explored. But thanks to the 70 mm wide aperture of the telescope also many celestial objects outside our solar system are within the reach of this telescope. Star clusters many light years away and nebula impress young and old stargazers. SPECIAL FEATURESMounting with wedge: At first glance, the NG mount of the refractor telescope 90/700 NG is a very ordinary azimuth mount: an axis for left / right and one for up / down, as we know it from normal camera tripods. This mode makes sense especially with observations during the day. With the built-in wedge it can be tilted, so the whole mount can be converted to an equatorial mount for astronomy with a single operation. For use of the equatorial mount an axis is aligned with the North Star. When tracking a celestial object only a single axis needs to be moved, which clearly is a relief compared to tracking an object on the night sky with mounts that only have left / right and up / down axis. BRESSER Venus 76/700 AZ Reflector Telescope with Smartphone Adapter & Solar Filter
The BRESSER Venus 76/700 AZ reflecting telescope allows beginners to experience their very own stargazing hours quickly and easily. With the complete set, you are equipped with everything you need for your very own sky observations: an astronomical reflecting telescope with 76 mm aperture and 700 mm focal length, an azimuthal mount, a tripod as well as extensive accessories. And to guarantee a successful start in astronomy, the system is very easy to handle – the perfect first telescope for beginners! Established technology for your easy start – the telescope With this entry-level telescope, you will be able to admire the night sky through a classic Newtonian reflector. A little surprising for astronomy novices: with this particular type, you do not look in at the back of the telescope, but at the front and laterally. The advantage: even if the telescope aperture is directed vertically towards the sky, you can make your discoveries very comfortably. No need to bend down! In addition, the Newtonian reflector is very easy to use. The optics in this type of reflector telescopes are also impressive, because they are free of chromatic aberrations – resulting in good imaging properties at all times. A sharp image with good contrast – the Venus reflector telescope achieves this with its large focal ratio of about 1 to 9.2 (F/9.2 – calculated from 76 mm aperture and 700 mm focal length). Thanks to its long focal length, the telescope for beginners shows you the Moon, Sun, planets, open star clusters as well as globular clusters in a particularly impressive way. And all this at a magnification of up to 150x in really sharp images! Technically, you can magnify even higher – theoretically up to 525x while using the included accessories. However, as the magnification increases, the sharpness of the image may slowly decrease. Of course, how much you can magnify depends not only on the resolving power of your telescope. The air turbulence in the atmosphere (seeing conditions) also plays an important role. Note for nature lovers: If you choose a Newtonian telescope like the Venus reflector telescope, you can look forward to a specialist in astronomical observation. However, the image is always displayed laterally reversed as well as upside down, which makes no difference when observing the sky. However, this type of telescope is less suitable for nature and landscape observation during the day. Would you like to use your new telescope for exciting nature discoveries as well? Then we recommend that you choose one of the BRESSER refractor telescopes. A good foundation for a successful start – mount and tripod The height-adjustable aluminium tripod and the azimuthal mount provide a firm footing and easy celestial navigation. Especially the azimuthal mount makes life easy for beginners, because it is very user-friendly: just like a typical photo tripod, you turn the telescope by hand to the left and right, up and down. This way, your favourite celestial objects quickly appear in your field of vision. Handy: to ensure that your astronomy accessories are always within reach, there is a storage plate between the tripod legs. Everything that goes with it – the accessories Out of the box straight to the fun of observing – with the complete astronomy set, you are quickly on your way to discovering the universe. The LED viewfinder helps you keep an eye on the sky. You just mount the direction finder parallel to the actual telescope and it projects a red dot onto a small ground-glass screen. This then appears to be hovering in front of the sky when you look through the viewfinder. And it does so at exactly the same spot that your telescope is pointed at. This way, the LED finder helps you to align the reflector telescope precisely and to find the celestial objects more easily. When it comes to the level of detail in your observations, the Venus beginner's reflector telescope gives you a choice: the two included eyepieces (4 mm and 20 mm) allow you two different magnifications. You want to get an even closer look? Then simply triple the magnification of the eyepieces with the 3x Barlow lens. In addition, the socket diameter of 31.7 mm (1.25 inch) complies with an international and manufacturer-independent standard. So you can easily expand your set – and with it your astronomical horizon. If you want to observe fascinating sights not only at night but also during the day, simply grab the solar filter. With it, you can safely admire spots and granulation on our nearest star – the Sun. CAUTION: Never point the telescope at the Sun without the solar filter! A new hobby leads to new impressions – and naturally you want to capture and share those. Therefore, you can easily use your mobile phone for your first steps into astrophotograpy with the smartphone adapter. Perfect for great snapshots of the Moon or the Sun, for example. Look forward to exciting astronomical discoveries by day and night – with the BRESSER Venus 76/700 AZ reflector telescope. BRESSER Sirius 70/900 AZ Refractor Telescope with Smartphone Camera Adapter
Set off on your personal journey to the stars with the BRESSER Sirius 70/900 AZ lens telescope. The complete astronomy set already includes everything you need to start observing the sky: the astronomical lens telescope with 70 mm aperture and 900 mm focal length, the azimuthal mount, the tripod and a wide range of accessories for fascinating discoveries. At the same time, it is very easy to operate - ideal to amaze even children with a view of the night sky. Simply a stargazing classic - the telescope With this lens telescope - a so-called Fraunhofer achromatic refractor - even total astro-beginners and children can easily explore the secrets of our night sky. Because this classic design impresses with its special user-friendliness and easy handling. To ensure that you enjoy good imaging properties when looking at the Moon, Sun, planets and star clusters, the entry-level telescope has been equipped with modern, precisely coated optics. The 70 mm aperture collects a total of 100 times more light than the human eye. And it is also convincing compared to a comparable 60 mm telescope: the light gathering capacity is 36 % higher and the resolving power is also better. Thus, with the 70 mm lens telescope, significantly more details are visible at the same magnification, e.g. on Saturn's rings or the two main cloud bands of Jupiter. But how big do the celestial objects appear then? The resolution of the 70 mm lens lets you enjoy really sharp images at magnifications up to about 140x. For comparison: with a 60 mm aperture, this is only possible up to 120x. Technically, of course, the starter telescope can do even more - theoretically up to 675x with the included accessories. However, with increasing magnification, the image can slowly become more and more blurred. And how big you can really see the planets, star clusters and co. depends not only on the telescope. Another important factor: the air turbulence in the atmosphere (seeing conditions). A sharp image with good contrast - this is what the starter telescope achieves with its large focal ratio of about 1 to 12.9 (F/12.9), which is calculated from the ratio of the 70 mm aperture to the 900 mm focal length. And you will see: Due to the long focal length, especially the Sun, Moon, planets, open star clusters and globular clusters become absolute eye-catchers. Solid base for your stargazing hours - mount and tripod Found the ideal location for your nocturnal explorations? Then attach the telescope tube to the height-adjustable aluminium tripod with azimuthal mount. And this azimuthal mount is particularly compelling due to one quality: operation is really child's play. Simply swing the telescope by hand to the left or right, up or down, as with a common photo tripod. This way you can quickly move your gaze from one celestial highlight to the next. And where are the accessories? Simply place them on the storage plate between the tripod legs. This way, eyepieces, solar filter and co. stay always within reach. All the trimmings - the accessories The beginner’s telescope comes with everything you need for a quick start in stargazing. When searching for celestial bodies worth seeing, take your first look through the included LED viewfinder. Because the direction finder helps you to align the telescope precisely and find astronomical objects. It works like this: The LED finder is mounted in parallel on the telescope tube. It projects a red dot onto a small ground-glass screen that appears to float in front of the sky when you look through it. And that is exactly where the aperture of your telescope points. This way, you can always keep an overview of the night sky - before focusing your attention on the details through the magnification of the telescope. And you decide how high this magnification is by choosing the eyepiece. You will be amazed: the two eyepieces included in the set (4 mm, 20 mm) allow you to admire completely different images of the same object. If you one day want a change of perspective, you can expand your astronomy set with a large selection of eyepieces. For this purpose, the socket diameter is 1.25 inches (31.7 mm), which corresponds to an international, manufacturer-independent standard. You like what you see, but would love more detail? Then simply insert the 3x Barlow lens between the telescope and the eyepiece. And you have tripled the magnification of the eyepiece! Observation comfort and a pleasant view - this is what the 90-degree star diagonal mirror is made for. Even if your starter telescope is pointed vertically into the sky, you don't need to lie down underneath it to see anything. Instead, simply look in comfortably from the side and enjoy the view. But it's not only at night that we should look skywards. For only during the day you can see a very special star: our Sun. So put the solar filter in front of the lens and safely look at sunspots and granulation on the Sun. CAUTION: Never point the telescope at the Sun without the solar filter! Would you like to share your discoveries with friends and family? Then take your first steps in astrophotography right away - and those are done in no time with the smartphone camera adapter for your beginner's telescope. The Moon, Sun, planets, open star clusters and globular clusters always make a good picture. Discover what our night sky has to offer with the BRESSER Sirius 70/900 AZ refracting telescope. FEATURES Beginner’s telescope for astronomy 70 mm aperture; 900 mm focal length Achromatic refractor type Fraunhofer Ideal for observing the Sun, Moon, planets and star clusters Height-adjustable tripod with azimuthal mount Easy to use, also very suitable for children Focal ratio F/12.9, therefore very sharp image and high contrast Two eyepieces and one Barlow lens with 31.7 mm (1.25 inch) sockets for different magnifications Safe solar observation with the included solar filter Entry into astrophotography with smartphone camera adapter SCOPE OF DELIVERY Starter lens telescope Aluminium tripod Azimuthal mount Eyepieces: 4 mm and 20 mm (1.25 inch socket) Barlow lens 3x (1.25 inch socket) Star diagonal mirror LED illuminated dot finder Solar filter Smartphone camera adapter Accessory tray Astronomy software via download Instruction manual

LUNT LS130MT/B1200 Multipurpose APO Telescope for Sun + Night-Sky
Complete H-alpha Solar Telescope with 130mm aperture and <0.7 Angstrom bandwidth. With Feather-Touch focuser, advanced air-pressure tuning system, and B1200 Blocking Filter. The LS130MT is a triplet ED apochromatic refractor with modular design! The telescope can also be used for night sky observations, and with the optional available accessories also for observing the sun in the Ca-K wavelength and in White-Light!The LS130MT/B1200 is a complete telescope for observing the sun in H-alpha light, with 130mm free aperture (no central obstruction) and 910mm focal length. The higher resolution compared to telescopes with smaller aperture allows the observer to dive into the fine details and surface phenomena of our ever-changing Sun. The higher resolution allows higher magnifications, bringing the fine details of the Sun to life in the eyepiece or on the screen. An internal Etalon filter with the innovative air pressure tuning System Pressure Tuner achieves a bandwidth of <0.7 Angstroms. The tuning is done by slightly changing the air pressure in a pressure chamber inside the telescope. This changes the refractive index of the air, making it easy to adjust to the H-alpha line. The pressure tuner guarantees an homogeneous image without central obstruction and a permanently protected etalon without wear. A set of collimating lenses installed in the telescope ensures best performance.Fine adjustment is achieved by a 2" Starlight-Instruments Feather-Touch focuser with 1.5" travel and 10:1 reduction.Blocking-filter is the B1200. The B1200 is good for visual solar observing. Also solar imaging is possible by cameras with small CCD chip. We recommend a LS130MT with B1800 blocking-filter by using cameras with middle or large sized CCD chips, at very large CCD chips the B3400 blocking-filter.The star diagonal in which the blocking filter is installed, is equipped as standard for 1.25" eyepieces and with a T2 camera connection. Also the LS130MT telescope is upgradeable with the additional available DSII double-stack system (item no. 0551690). The optional DSII system is a internal double stack module with Pressure Tuner, that provides a bandwidth <0.5 Angstrom. More details on the solar surface will become visible by reducing the bandwidth.Modular design:The H-Alpha Etalon system can be easily removed from the telescope. The 3-lens ED Apochromat can be used as a normal telescope for observation and imaging of the night sky. Also available is a Ca-K module (item number 0551697) specially developed for the LS130MT. This also allows to observe the sun in the blue calcium wavelength.A Herschel-wedge (item number 0558201) can also be used for observing the sun in white light. This makes the LS130MT a completely universal usable telescope!FEATURESTriplet ED apochromatic refractor, FPL-51Aperture: 130mm (no central obstruction)Focal length: 910mmBandwidth: internal Etalon with <0.7 AngstromTuning: air-pressure tuning systemBlocking-filter: B1200 with 1.25" and T2 connectionFocuser: Starlight-Instruments Feather-Touch focuser with 10:1 reductionTwo tube rings with carrying handleDove tail bar with GP level for astronomical MountsWeight: 12.1kgLength with blocking-filter and dew-shield: 100cmLength without blocking-filter and removed dew-shield: 80cmSCOPE OF DELIVERYLS130MT multipurpose telescopePressure-Tuner systemB1200 blocking-filter in star-diagonal2" Feather-Touch focuserTube-extension for using without H-alpha EtalonTube rings with dove tail barTransport case (92x42x35cm)Instruction manual
